It has been years since WWE hosted a battle royal at WrestleMania, but WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella hopes that changes soon enough.
On a recent edition of her “Nikki and Brie Show” podcast, Nikki made the case for the return of the battle royal to WWE’s biggest pay-per-view event. She said,
“This is my one thing with ‘Mania. I wish there was just a way to get everyone involved. I loved when they had the Battle Royals, and now with two nights they should do a male one and a female one, and then you see everyone.”
For years, WWE hosted battle royals at WrestleMania, including the Andre the Giant battle royal, which often fell on the kick-off show.
In 2018 and 2019, WWE hosted women’s battle royals, though the Fabulous Moolah branding behind the match was ditched due to controversy.
After COVID-19, WWE moved its men’s battle royal to the SmackDown before WrestleMania but ditched the women’s match entirely.
