No DQ Match & More Announced For Next Week’s Episode Of WWE NXT (7/23/24)

Three matches have been announced for next week’s episode of WWE NXT (July 23, 2024).

The ending moments of this week’s episode of WWE NXT saw an angry Brooks Jensen storming out into the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center, mad at Josh Briggs for what he claimed to be costing him his match against Je’Von Evans earlier in the night.

Briggs wasn’t okay with Jensen going after Evans following the match, and Jensen decided to challenge Briggs to a match next week — but specifically, a No Disqualification match.

Another backstage situation that led to a match being announced was Ashante “Thee” Adonis scoping out some of the girls from the NXT roster around the commissary area. When he started hitting on Jakara Jackson, Oro Mensah came over to voice his disapproval.

While Mensah continues to attack Ethan Page, this distraction seems to be more immediate, particularly as Ava said he’s not in the title picture right now. Perhaps a win over Adonis next week might put him in contention for a legitimate shot at Page, as Mensah still has beef with him, going after him on this episode, too.

Finally, Eddy Thorpe vs. Lexis King was announced for next week after an incredibly quick segment, featuring Thorpe having a DJ set that King interrupted and messed with, leading to a fight between the two.

This follows their previous encounters, largely with King just talking smack about Thorpe, as there isn’t too much meat on the bones of this feud yet.
