Oba Femi has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the ring, but that doesn’t mean the Nigerian is opposed to having some NBA talent in his corner.

On a recent edition of “The A Show” podcast, Femi was asked about NBA stars Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton who appeared on the June 28th episode of WWE SmackDown.

Femi was asked to name which NBA star he’d want in his corner in WWE and picked Bronny James, the son of LeBron James. He said,

“Oh, right now? Bronny boy. Little Bronny [laughs]. Baby Bronny. Yeah, why not?”

When one of the show’s hosts suggested Giannis Antetokounmpo or Joel Embiid, Femi shared his issue with the former. He said,

“I’m angry with Giannis because he can’t find a way to get everybody to pronounce his name correctly. He does let people vary his name constantly. Because of that, he’s disqualified, he can’t be in my corner.”

Femi is in his first reign as NXT North American Champion, a title he won back in January of this year. He will defend against Wes Lee at tonight’s WWE NXT: Heatwave pay-per-view event.
