WWE SmackDown in Bologna, Italy opened with a promo segment between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, wherein Owens tried to apologize for his previous attacks on The Viper. In his mind, he’s justified in doing what he did to Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn, but he was hoping Orton would put aside their differences and that they could work together.
In fact, Owens pitched that the best thing they could do for WrestleMania 41 would be to reform their partnership and make a bid for the WWE Tag Team Championship titles.
Orton, on the other hand, wasn’t so receptive to that idea. Instead, the voices in Orton’s head are telling him to kick Kevin’s head clean off his shoulder.
Later in the show, it was made official with a graphic announcement that they will indeed go one-on-one in Las Vegas.
