RAW & SmackDown Trades To Come With “Transfer Window” Tease

You always have to pay attention to every little detail in the Paul Levesque Era of WWE, as you never know what’s going to appear in the background or be casually dropped in the middle of a promo, and the latter is something that happened on WWE SmackDown that might have some major ramifications in the near future.

American Made (Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers) interrupted a promo from Cody Rhodes that opened this week’s show, despite being members of the RAW roster. To explain away his appearance, Gable mentioned that “the transfer window is about to open” and that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was pulling some strings to see if he would be switched over to the blue brand.

After the promo, Michael Cole quickly stated that when RAW moves over to Netflix at the beginning of 2025, there will also be changes to SmackDown, and that both of those rosters, as well as NXT, are going to be involved.

At the time of this publication, that is all we know, but the implication is that there will be some trades between the rosters, some NXT call-ups, and other shake-ups in the works. Not only should that be the excuse for Michael Cole moving back to RAW with the return of Pat McAfee on commentary, as well as Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett joining Corey Graves on the SmackDown booth, but it seems it will also help bolster the rosters to deal with that third hour of SmackDown that appears to be in the works.
