Over the past weekend, WWE hosted a couple of live events in Mexico. The first show took place on Saturday in Mexico City, followed by another event in Monterrey on Sunday.
The shows featured marquee matchups, such as Damian Priest defending the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Jey Uso, The Bloodline engaging in a rivalry with Randy Orton, LA Knight, and Andrade, and the main event featuring Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes defeating Santos Escobar. However, Los Lotharios (Angel & Berto), were absent from the shows.
Fightful Select is reporting that Angel and Berto’s absence was due to WWE already having a full lineup of stars for the Supershows.
Angel addressed his absence in a tweet, expressing his disappointment at missing the Monterrey event and hoping to see everyone next time.
Notable Superstars such as Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee participated in the events, along with WWE’s latest signing, Stephanie Vaquer, who defeated Isla Dawn in her first two non-televised WWE matches.
