More has come to light about the contract status of AJ Styles as the Phenomenal One remains absent from WWE programming.
The two-time former WWE Champion hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since June when he lost to Cody Rhodes at Clash At The Castle: Scotland.
Fightful Select is reporting that those within WWE believe Styles’ contract is set to expire either late this year or early next year.
It’s added that efforts are being made to clarify his contract status, but several notable figures, including those who’ve worked with AJ, believe his contract may be up soon.
Styles’ most recent match for WWE came on August 29, when he lost to Cody Rhodes at a live event in Frankfurt, Germany.
In 2022, Styles re-signed with WWE with a contract that was said to be “well over $3 million a year” plus bus travel accommodations.
