However, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that The Rock is currently not on the schedule for WrestleMania 41. His plans could change, as he has a history of doing what he wants.
Some individuals with “old school mentalities” backstage felt that it wouldn’t be appropriate for The Rock to appear at Bad Blood 2024 and divert attention from others if it didn’t lead to a match.
A source stated that The Rock will not participate in WrestleMania 41 and has already informed WWE of his decision. Although no specific reason was provided, different people were given different explanations.
The source cited The Rock’s busy schedule, noting that it became too demanding to commit to the extensive training and preparation he usually undergoes before his matches. The lack of time for training is why the dream match with Roman Reigns didn’t materialize at WrestleMania 39.
If The Rock changes his mind, he will likely have until just before WWE Royal Rumble 2025 to do so as deciding that would “throw everything into chaos.”
The only scenario in which The Rock might face resistance to his preferences is if he decides to compete for the WWE Title.
Lastly, it was mentioned that a talent involved in the program indicated they were unaware of anything, and only Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, Bruce Prichard, possibly Reigns, Rhodes, and Paul Heyman would have information.
