Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE television since losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
During Reigns’ hiatus from WWE, his father, Sika Anoa’i of the Wild Samoans, passed away at the age of 79 on June 25.
During Reigns’ absence, Solo Sikoa transitioned from being his enforcer to the new Tribal Chief, forming the new Bloodline faction comprising Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.
Following WrestleMania 40, WWE positioned Sikoa as the primary leader of The Bloodline, setting the stage for a highly anticipated match with Reigns.
It appears that fans won’t have to wait much longer for Reigns’ return to WWE television.
Pwinsider is reporting that Reigns is expected to return at or before WWE SummerSlam 2024. Additionally, the July 12th episode of SmackDown hinted that Reigns’ return is imminent.
WWE SummerSlam 2024 takes place on Saturday, August 3, at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH.
