The expectation within WWE is that Executive Director for Creative Writing and Television (CWT) Bruce Prichard will be returning to his duties as soon as this week, possibly as early as tomorrow’s SmackDown TV tapings.
In November 2024, it was reported that Prichard had been pulled from the road due to “personal issues.”
Conrad Thompson, the host of Prichard’s podcast, addressed the rumors, explaining that Prichard had taken a leave of absence due to health-related issues within his family, not due to any issues with WWE. Thompson confirmed that Prichard would remain with WWE and continue his podcast when the time was right. Thompson stated,
“I just want to address the elephant in the room. There’s been a lot of rumor and innuendo about Bruce Prichard. Just to clear it up, Bruce Prichard is still with WWE. Bruce Prichard is not quitting his podcast, but if you’re a longtime listener of this show, you know that there have been health events in the Prichard family and household and right now, Bruce is going to take a little bit of a leave of absence from WWE, and he’s going to be away, taking care of what’s really important.”
