On the September 9th episode of Monday Night RAW, Bret “The Hitman” Hart made a special appearance at the Saddledome in his hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque organized Hart’s return to WWE television despite their past conflicts during The Attitude Era.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Triple H displayed professionalism and treated Hart nicely during RAW, reflecting his role in management and providing the fans in Calgary with a memorable night featuring The Hitman’s appearance.
Meltzer said, “Triple H was very nice to Bret Hart from what I heard, a couple people brought that up to me, — Historically they don’t like each other, both of them. But it’s business and Triple H is running things and they don’t wanna insult Bret, so they have to show respect to Bret. So everybody was nice to everybody.”
Hart was involved in a segment with GUNTHER during which The Ring General insulted the Hall of Famer, proclaiming Bill Goldberg as his favorite wrestler instead of The Hitman.
