More has come to light about Cody Rhodes’ reign as Undisputed WWE Champion and what may await the American Nightmare in the new year.
Rhodes has held the title since WrestleMania 40 (Night Two), when he ended the 1,316-day run with the title of Roman Reigns in Philadelphia.
According to WrestleVotes via Backstage Pass, Cody’s reign will not be as long as Reigns, and there are discussions about him losing the title in 2025.
WrestleMania 41 is being considered as a possible time to end his reign, which will take place on April 19, and April 20, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The report also states that officials are eyeing CM Punk, Roman Reigns, John Cena, and even The Rock as potential opponents for Rhodes.
Triple H and other higher-ups are “very high” on Drew McIntyre potentially being the one to replace Rhodes on top after an impressive 2024.
Rhodes is currently feuding with Kevin Owens, who has dubbed himself the ‘Real WWE Champion’ following his controversial Saturday Night’s Main Event defeat.
