Following the recent Brock Lesnar references on Monday Night RAW, it seems more probable that the former WWE Champion will return to television.

Lesnar was removed from WWE’s plans earlier this year, which included matches at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 40, due to the sex trafficking lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against John Laurinaitis, Vince McMahon, and WWE. The lawsuit didn’t mention Lesnar by name but referred to him as a former WWE/UFC Heavyweight Champion.

The Wall Street Journal later identified Lesnar as the former champion in the lawsuit. Federal authorities are investigating the matter, and the case has been postponed until December. In the meantime, WWE’s legal team has yet to clear Lesnar, and he won’t be able to return until this happens.

This week on WWE RAW, Adam Pearce advised Seth Rollins against facing Bronson Reed, but Rollins reminded him that he had slain a beast in the past. Lesnar was also mentioned during Cody Rhodes’ segment with GUNTHER, where The American Nightmare noted overcoming the most dominant champion in WWE history.

During a recent Backstage Pass Q&A, a question was raised about Lesnar’s potential return to WWE after the recent references on RAW.

Bill Apter mentioned that people within WWE have indicated that discussions are taking place.

Apter stated, “I can’t tell you definitely yes, but my inside people in WWE have told me they’re talking. That’s the most I know.”

WrestleVotes responded, “I’ll give you a short answer: Yes.”
