This practice is separate from international venues, as cities in the US also engage in competitive bidding to secure the rights to host WWE events, thereby stimulating significant local economic growth.
WWE recently returned to Italy for a live event in Bologna, marking the first WWE event in Italy since 2018. The company previously conducted a tour in Italy featuring RAW, SmackDown, and ECW episodes in Milan. This tour marked the debut of Santino Marella.
