WWE Monday Night RAW is in a transitional phase as it prepares to move from the USA Network to Netflix.

Despite the Netflix deal not taking effect until January 2025, WWE reached an agreement with the USA Network to extend RAW’s run on the network after the original deal was set to expire this month.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that viewers may still encounter commercials after WWE RAW debuts on Netflix.

To test the waters, Netflix is considering incorporating more commercials into live and pre-recorded shows, starting with RAW. The idea is that fans are accustomed to commercials during broadcasts.

While ads will be present, they may not be disruptive. WWE will have more leeway on Netflix regarding show duration and the number of commercials.

Some ads might be brief to expedite the return to the show, while others could be similar to those aired on traditional TV.

The show’s runtime, initially stated to return to three hours, will fluctuate based on the specific episode’s plans, adding an element of unpredictability, particularly to the main events.
