WWE held this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event last weekend, characterized by multiple title changes and Roman Reigns’ highly anticipated return.

WWE has officially announced that SummerSlam 2026 will be a two-night event scheduled for August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This two-night format is believed to continue in subsequent years after 2026.

Following the two-night model of WrestleMania, which began in 2020 with WrestleMania 36, there have been discussions about making next year’s SummerSlam a two-night affair.

WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque addressed this matter during the post-SummerSlam press conference, expressing his support for the idea.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that prior assumptions were made about SummerSlam switching to a two-day model starting in 2026. WWE’s response to a question about SummerSlam 2025 and whether it would be a two-night event, was “Stay tuned.”

Meanwhile, another WWE source suggested that it’s “almost definite” that SummerSlam 2025 would take place over two days.

WWE has yet to announce the date and location for SummerSlam 2025.
