Ricochet is officially a free agent.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Ricochet’s WWE contract officially expired at midnight on July 1. Just hours before the contract expired, his status as an alumnus was updated on WWE’s website on June 30, precluding him from appearing at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024.
Although it is widely anticipated that Ricochet will join AEW, reports suggest that a match against Will Ospreay at the upcoming All In 2024 pay-per-view event was never part of the recent plans.
Ricochet was written off WWE television several weeks ago by Bron Breakker and wasn’t involved in subsequent TV tapings. Although Ricochet is officially done with WWE, Samantha Irvin’s role with the company is expected to continue unaffected.
As Ricochet begins his transition from WWE, fans speculate his next career move, with AEW emerging as a potential destination.
While Ricochet’s departure signifies the conclusion of a noteworthy chapter in WWE, it also presents compelling prospects for his future in professional wrestling.
