During a recent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Roxanne Perez explained her issue with Bayley.
Perez and Bayley have been feuding for the past week.
Perez said, “I’m sure everybody’s seen the pictures, everyone knows I used to be a huge Bayley fan. She’s the reason why I wanted to come to ‘NXT.’ She paved the way for both of us [her and Cora Jade]. Now, I feel like I’m trying to pave my own way, and for some reason, she had to come out the other week and interrupt me and give me some sort of advice that I didn’t really ask for. I just feel like she’s had her time. It’s our time. So, why is she trying to come out and steal the spotlight? I don’t understand.”
During a recent appearance on the “Talk is Jericho” podcast, Shelton Benjamin praised his former tag team partner Chad Gable, but acknowledged that their tag team didn’t work.
Benjamin said, “When I first arrived, they put me with Chad Gable. Phenomenal worker, he has not [gotten the due that he deserves]. He hasn’t and to me it sucks because everyone has an excuse. I said, for every excuse, I can point out an example why that excuse makes no sense. That guy is special whether fans realize it or not. He’s got a blue collar mentality, he’s uber talented, he’s dedicated, he’ll do whatever you need him to. When they put us together, he’s actually from Minneapolis too. So, it seemed right, especially with Jason [Jordan] not being able to work anymore. I don’t really think that tag team worked. We had some good matches, they threw us in some really zany matches. We had a great match with The Usos, but for me, it really wasn’t working through no fault of anyone. The chemistry, it wasn’t like me and Charlie. Me and Charlie were like — Charlie was the best partner I’ve ever had. So, for whatever reason, while we got along great, we just didn’t click the same way. It wasn’t the same. That being said, all due respect, that kid is phenomenal and everything he’s done, he’s made work.”
During a recent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Thunder Rosa discussed Penta’s WWE debut and how Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) was mentioned during one of Penta’s matches on RAW.
Rosa said, “I even turned around like, ‘What? They said this?’ Knowing that AEW works very closely with RevPro, that’s why I was like ‘aw s***,’ I don’t know if they did their research but they got their flowers. The captains of the ship are different and they’re more open and they’re more hip to what is happening right now.”
