Samantha Irvin shocked the wrestling world by announcing her departure from WWE ahead of this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
Irvin’s departure took many by surprise, with several people struggling to accept that she would leave WWE.
Following Irvin’s surprising announcement of her exit from WWE, fans and insiders quickly began speculating about her reasons for leaving.
One of the main questions raised was whether she might be joining AEW. Irvin’s husband, Ricochet, confirmed that this was not the case.
Ricochet mentioned that Irvin has no intentions of moving to AEW, dispelling those rumors.
Pwinsider previously reported that Irvin informed WWE of her decision just before RAW, but she has since dismissed those claims.
Several sources asserted that she decided to resign and that WWE was notified about her choice earlier in the day, indicating that it was not a matter of the company firing her.
The report stated, ”For the MANY of you who have asked, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources within the company that ring announcer Samantha Irvin resigned from her position. Irvin quit the company. We are told WWE was made aware earlier today. It was not a case of her being released. As far as why Irvin opted to exit the company, that still has yet to be confirmed.”
Irvin noticed the report and quickly addressed it on Twitter, stating that she had notified WWE of her desire to leave the company months ahead.
She tweeted, ”Months* before RAW”
Irvin had been considering this choice for a while to concentrate on her music career, and now that she is no longer with WWE, she will fully dedicate herself to music.
