WCW alumnus Steve “Mongo” McMichael has been hospitalized with pneumonia.
According to a report from NBC Chicago Sports reporter Mike Berman, McMichael’s longtime publicist sent him a statement to announce that the Pro Football Hall of Famer is currently in the ER with suspected pneumonia.

UPDATE: Steve McMichael’s family have provided an update on the WCW and pro football legend’s status after being hospitalized. Mike Berman posted the following statement on Twitter:
“UPDATE ON STEVE MCMICHAEL
Steve is fighting a Urinary Tract infection. He is on three antibiotics and is being admitted to the ICU this eventing.
Continued prayers are appreciated for Steve’s speedy recovery.
