Mick Foley has named his 2004 match with Randy Orton at WWE Backlash as his favorite match of his career.
Previously, Foley has always said that his In Your House: Mind Games match with Shawn Michaels had been his favorite match to that point.
While speaking on a recent edition of the “Wrestling Life Online” podcast, Foley revealed that his WWE Backlash 2004 match with The Viper is now his favorite. He said,
“80% of what I laid out that day ended up getting done. You could just see that he had a world of potential, and I remember when Sting was the guy for me in ’91, who helped put me on the map, and Undertaker, when I came to WWE in ’96, and I was like, ‘Maybe I can be one of those people for Randy and also do something special while I’m out there.’”
He continued, “This is before I even knew Rock was interested in teaming up at ‘Mania… Then I had the second chance, the main event with Randy in Edmonton, and it was my favorite match of my career.”
During a recent edition of Jake Paul’s “BS w/ Jake Paul” podcast, Steve-O and Jake Paul lavished praise on Logan Paul’s success in WWE thus far.
In particular, Steve-O says he’s “unbelievably impressed” by Logan’s wrestling skills.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
Steve-O on Logan Paul’s work: “Man, let me, like, give some flowers to Logan with this f**king wrestling, dude. Like, there’s zero, like… there’s like zero argument for, ‘Logan’s only in WWE because he’s such a big f**king personality, he’s got so many fans.’ F**k that. Logan with his acrobatic ass s**t. What he does in wrestling is like a hundred percent like on par or gnarlier than like anything else going on in WWE.”
Jake on Logan’s in-ring work: “No, that’s — unbiasedly, like him not being my brother, he’s the most fun to watch for me. Because he’s like a big Rey Mysterio with the way he flies in the air, it’s insane… He will be the WWE Champion of the world one day.”
