Pwinsider is reporting that the District Court of Appeal for the State of Florida, Fifth District, has decided to uphold WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch’s (known as Sunny) conviction following her November 2023 sentencing to prison for one count of DUI resulting in death (DUI Manslaughter, classified as a third-degree felony), one count of causing death while driving with a suspended or revoked license (also a third-degree felony), four counts of DUI causing bodily injury, and three counts of DUI leading to property damage.
Sytch had earlier filed an appeal to her conviction. The court delivered a “Per Curiam Affirmed” ruling, which means the trial court’s verdict was upheld without any written explanation.
Furthermore, Sytch’s court-appointed attorney reportedly withdrew from the case, as the lawyer concluded that Sytch’s appeal was without substantial merit.
An order issued on December 2 permitted Sytch to submit a legal brief if she identified any issues worth contesting.
However, court records show that as of December 31, she has not taken that step.
