Teddy Long has claimed that John Cena is a real-life heel, though has yet to give an explanation as to what evil things Cena has done.
On a recent edition of the “Wrestling Time Machine” podcast, Long continued to insist that John Cena is not a good person in real life. He said,
“John Cena’s now being John Cena. The best heel in the world is the guy that’s a heel in real life. And that’s, you know, nothing against him. I like him, he’s a great guy. But he is a heel in real life, and this fits him perfectly. You watch and see how good his promos are now than they were when he was cutting them babyface promos. You watch this.”
When pressed about what Cena has done to warrant this claim, Long again refused to clarify, stating “That’s perfectly him, and that’s all I’m going to say.”
Cena turned heel at WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto, marking his first official role as an on-screen villain since late 2003.
On this week’s edition of WWE RAW, Cena explained the turn, stating that he was leaving the fans who had only taken from him over his decades as a babyface.
