WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg would benefit from some training in WWE NXT ahead of a rumored match with GUNTHER, according to Teddy Long.
At WWE Bad Blood 2024, GUNTHER taunted Goldberg, resulting in many predicting that a match will come between the pair down the line.
On a recent edition of the “Wrestling Time Machine” podcast, Long shared his belief that Goldberg should train in WWE NXT. He said,
“If they want to do something with him and GUNTHER, then let him go to NXT. Let him stay down there two or three weeks, get the rust off of him, work with Shawn and some of those guys down there that know what they’re doing. You know what I mean? And get it right.”
The former WWE Universal Champion last wrestled at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 where he lost to Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia.
In recent years, Goldberg has spoken openly about wanting one final match before he ends his in-ring career.
GUNTHER will be in action at next month’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view event against Cody Rhodes for the Men’s WWE Crown Jewel Championship.
