The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu Win WWE Tag Team Championships On SmackDown

New WWE Tag-Team Champions were crowned on the August 2, 2024 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

While the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships stayed around the waists of The Unholy Union due to some interference from Blair Davenport causing a disqualification, #DIY weren’t as lucky. Even with some hometown advantage for Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu used the numbers game and their ferocity to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships in the main event, with Fatu pinning Gargano for the victory.

This gives The Bloodline extra momentum heading into WWE SummerSlam 2024, wherein Solo Sikoa will face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a Bloodline Rules match.

Will this good fortune continue for The Bloodline with more gold coming their way? Is there any other tag team that stands a chance to be the next in line for the tag titles other than a reformation of The Usos?
