As we previously reported here on eWn, the WWE Network will cease operations in Europe on January 1, 2025, when Netflix will begin streaming WWE content in those regions.
Pwinsider is reporting that the service will not be shutting down entirely.
The WWE Network is expected to continue functioning in international markets where Netflix has not acquired streaming rights to WWE programming due to prior agreements that were established before WWE’s deal with Netflix.
Furthermore, WWE recently emailed previous subscribers in the Philippines, informing them that the Network will return to the region after two years. WWE programming had been available on Disney+ in the area during that time frame.
In other regions where WWE’s agreements are expiring, the Network’s programming will be succeeded by content on Netflix.
Meanwhile, WWE RAW is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Monday, January 6, 2025.
