Brock Lesnar last competed at WWE SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes.
Lesnar’s current status with the company remains uncertain. WWE distanced itself from The Beast Incarnate following a sex trafficking lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against John Laurinaitis, Vince McMahon, and WWE, in which Lesnar was referenced.
WWE subsequently removed Lesnar from its plans for events such as the 2024 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber: France, and WrestleMania 40. It was later reported that WWE’s legal team had not cleared Lesnar, indicating that his return was contingent on resolving the legal issues.
WWE Monday Night RAW will be airing on Netflix starting in January 2025. This will be the first time RAW will not air new episodes on a traditional television network.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that prominent Superstars such as John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are expected to participate in the buildup to WrestleMania 41, which is slated for streaming on Netflix.
However, Lesnar’s involvement remains in question pending the resolution of outstanding legal matters that may impact his potential appearance on Netflix.
The report states, “WWE looks very strong with the Netflix transition since Johnson will be back for WrestleMania with Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns will be back, as will Cena. The only question mark of the stars of that era would be Lesnar, based on the legal issues, and perhaps Undertaker, who likely wouldn’t wrestle, but would also likely do something early in the Netflix run.”
While Lesnar is almost guaranteed to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame, his potential connection to Grant’s lawsuit could hamper his prospects.
