Jacob Fatu’s status became uncertain following his leg injury during the table spot in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2024.
As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Fatu intended to sell a leg injury after the table spot, but it remains uncertain if this was the extent of what was portrayed on TV.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared an update on Fatu’s injury. He said,
“Whatever it is, it wasn’t deemed that bad, whatever that means.”
Meltzer also confirmed suspicions that Fatu was planning to sell the table spot outside the ring to keep him away from the returning Roman Reigns.
He added, “I was told he was hurting, but I was also told it wasn’t that bad.”
During the SummerSlam 2024 post-show media scrum, WWE CCO Triple H mentioned that Fatu was “banged up” after the match.
The Samoan wrestler was later spotted wearing a medical boot, although he could walk on the leg that endured the table crash.
If Fatu did injure his leg, the fact that he could walk on it the day after the show is likely a positive sign.
