Lex Luger is set to be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame and wants Sting from AEW to do the honors.
As we reported earlier here on eWn, WWE plans to ask Sting about making the appearance if they haven’t done so already.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has confirmed that Luger requested for WWE to have Sting induct him, and WWE was “fine with it.” Now, it’s up to AEW CEO Tony Khan to decide.
Khan will likely let Sting do what he wants but might try to negotiate. Notably, AEW has allowed its wrestlers to appear on WWE shows in the past.
However, one exception was a DX reunion that involved Billy Gunn.
Khan wanted WWE to mention that Gunn is with AEW, but that didn’t happen, so Daddy Ass didn’t appear.
It’s also worth noting that Luger was not allowed to appear on camera when Sting wrestled his final match at AEW Revolution 2024.
