Jacob Fatu’s status became uncertain following his leg injury during the table spot in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2024.
As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Fatu intended to sell a leg injury after the table spot during the Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa match, but it remains uncertain if this was the extent of what was portrayed on TV.
While Fatu is one-half of the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, he won’t appear on television for a while.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that any two members of The Bloodline selected by Solo Sikoa will defend the WWE Tag Team Titles for the time being.
WWE does not want Fatu to cross paths with Reigns yet as “everyone has to sell big for Reigns right now.”
While Fatu remains off television due to the injury, WWE is not making a “big deal” about his absence as he is “supposed to be a monster.”
Moreover, the injury is likely kayfabe and was planned ahead of Roman’s return.
