David Shoemaker says one of the highlights of working on the Mr. McMahon docuseries that is currently streaming on Netflix was finding out the possible origin of Triple H’s famous “water spit.”

During a recent appearance on “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” Shoemaker recalled finding some footage of Dr. Jerry Graham spitting out some water while entering the ring. He said,

“Vince has talked before about how his idol, his childhood idol was Dr. Jerry Graham, this wrestler who worked for his dad with the bleach blonde hair and drove the fancy cars and Vince just wanted to be this guy so much. If you watch closely, there is footage of Dr. Jerry Graham entering the ring in which, to me, it looks like he does the original version of Triple H’s water spit. And Triple H has never said that there was an origin story for it, but Dr. Jerry Graham sure does it in that clip. When I saw that the first time, I almost fell over in my chair.”

The Rock will be attending Apalachee High School’s home opener football game tonight. This game comes just one month after the school was the site of a school shooting.

Taking to Twitter, “The Great One” announced that he’ll be in attendance at tonight’s game in Winder, Georgia. It’s worth noting that tomorrow night’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 pay-per-view event takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, and there have been some rumors that The Rock will be appearing at the show. With this tweet, we now know he’s in close proximity:

“Big football game tonight as the Apalachee High School Wildcats take the field in their first home game back since their school’s mass shooting about a month ago.

These players, coaches, teachers, the entire community and ALL the students at Apalachee are the symbol of resilience, love and strength.

I promised them, I would be there tonight for them – and I will.

Win or lose, these Apalachee kids are already undefeated.

See you tonight, LETS GO.”
