WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker is pleased that wrestling has moved on from its “wild, wild west” days, despite past comments to the contrary.
In 2022, The Undertaker stirred up drama when he said wrestlers today were “kinda’ soft” compared to the roster from decades earlier.
At the time, the Phenom said he was sad that wrestlers today are playing video games, rather than carrying knives and guns in their bags.
On a recent edition of his “Six Feet Under” podcast, The Undertaker said that he was pleased wrestling has evolved, despite his past comments. He said,
“I’m telling you, man. It was just a whole different ballgame back then. Dude, it was the wild, wild west. And I’m glad, I am so happy that the business has evolved to where it is now, so guys don’t have to worry about that.
“But that’s funny that you just brought up something — you just didn’t mess with people. I mean, there were fights, but you didn’t.”
The Undertaker competed for the last time in 2020 and was given his ‘Final Farewell’ during that year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event.
The Hall of Famer appeared at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year and will be a part of the new A&E show WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats.
