Dominik Mysterio was a recent guest on the “Babyfaces Podcast” to discuss a variety of topics, including his father Rey’s win in the 2006 men’s Royal Rumble match. He said,
“Dude, I love the Rumble. It’s one of those things where you really never know who’s going to come out next. So it really is a surprise. But for me, one of my favorite Rumbles is when my deadbeat dad unfortunately won. I thought I was a big Randy Orton guy. So I thought Randy was going to take it. Then deadbeat just comes in and ruins it.”
He continued, “But shout out to Triple H too, pulling him out, being a sore loser, throwing him against the steps. I thought that was pretty cool. I was like, all right, this is a done deal. Randy’s got it in the bag. No. But anyways, I’m excited for the Rumble, man. The Rumble has always been one of my favorite pay-per-views of all time, for sure.”
Tommy Dreamer is a big fan of WWE’s investment in Jey Uso as a singles competitor.
Uso will challenge GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend.
While speaking on a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Dreamer opined on Uso’s move into singles competition.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On Uso’s move into singles competition: “We know he’s entertaining. We know he’s a great worker. We’ve grew up watching the Usos. We watched Jey rise up on his own and become ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. And his promo [against GUNTHER on Raw] afterwards is, like, cool, because at the end of the day, who’s he got? He’s got himself.”
On Uso’s potential: “You know, he went away from The Bloodline. He took a big risk. WWE has invested a lot in him, and that investment is paying off.”
