During a recent edition of the “Busted Open After Dark” podcast, former WWE and ECW wrestler Tommy Dreamer expressed his belief that CM Punk and Drew McIntyre will face off against each other in a Strap Match.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On CM Punk and Drew McIntyre having a strap match next: “I’m telling you, I will bet everything I’ve got on they’re going to have a strap match. Whether the guys are going to hold the strap, whether it’s going to be lumberjacks, which would be interesting, because you could always segue another feud from that. But these men are going to have a strap match. Strap on a pole? You name it, it could happen.”
On how the feud will continue: “This feud will continue and I feel we’ll get another…I shouldn’t say I feel, I know, we’ll get another CM Punk-Drew McIntyre match. And then after that, I feel that’s when those two guys should kind of split apart and go another direction.”
Also on a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) commented on the current push Bronson Reed is getting and how he believes the company should move forward with him.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On how WWE should proceed with Bronson Reed: “I think you need to do it for two months, and at that point, casuals have caught on to what’s happening, and you see packages, and by then you’ll have seen things on Twitter. But also, at that point, you just can’t beat everybody like that, because you’ll be out of a roster in two and a half months. So you have to get to a point where somebody steps in, or some obstacle is in his way, or he goes too far and the next time he finishes off Miz, puts him into a stretcher, into an ambulance.”
On establishing Reed as a monster who needs to be taken out: “And then he’s either taken out in cuffs, or they…like Kurt Angle did with the Big Show where they shot him with the tranquilizer gun…They’re treating him like this monster beast they have, you can’t just continue it that way. But I think you have to hammer it home a few more times, and be really careful, because it’s really easy to cheer for a guy who’s kicking the s**t out of all your favorite guys, but you get really cool and really awesome really quickly.”
