Former WWE announcer Tony Chimel has called into question the promotion using his voice in the years since he parted ways with the company.
Chimel was with WWE for years before his departure from the company in 2020. His roles included working as an announcer on SmackDown and WWE’s version of ECW.
On Twitter, Chimel was seemingly unhappy with WWE using his voice in archive footage in the years since his release and promoted his Cameo.
I find it odd that I was let go by @WWE years ago , yet they still use my voice at shows . Maybe order a Chimeo if you want a live version .

Chimel’s sole match for WWE came on a 1999 edition of SmackDown which saw him best Howard Finkel in a Tuxedo Match.
