Trick Williams Wins Last Man Standing Match, Earns NXT Title Match For CW Debut

Trick Williams “figured it out” and was victorious over Pete Dunne in their Last Man Standing match for the main event of this week’s episode of NXT.

As part of WWE Week, this season premiere of NXT had several titles on the line and stakes attached to its matches, with this bout determining who would face Ethan Page for the NXT Championship on the CW debut of NXT in Chicago, Illinois on October 1st.

Page tried to interfere toward the end of the match, suffering a back body drop through the commentary table for his efforts, as an emphatic end to this match. Williams stood tall not just over his opponent in The Bruiserweight, but his upcoming adversary for three weeks from today.

This puts the lineup for the CW debut of NXT to the following segments that have been announced:

• WWE NXT Championship Match: Ethan Page (c) vs. Trick Williams
• WWE NXT Women’s Championship: Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Giulia
• Street Fight: Wes Lee vs. Zachary Wentz
• The Miz hosts Miz TV with an unknown guest
• WWE women’s tag team champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargil will appear
• CM Punk will appear
