John Cena’s days competing in WWE will end this year, but fans should still expect to see John with the promotion for a long time to come.

On tonight’s RAW, the first of the Netflix era, Cena will kick off his retirement tour. John shared news of his retirement at Money in the Bank 2024.

On a recent edition of the “SI Media” podcast, Triple H shared his belief that Cena will continue to contribute to WWE after retiring. He said,

“I think he will always be part of WWE. I think it’s in his DNA. I think he will always do stuff with us but in-ring, as a performer, I think when he’s done, he’s done.”

Triple H added that despite Cena’s busy acting schedule, WWE will be the 16-time World Champion’s focus in 2025. He said,

“John is very busy, but he has made this his prime commitment for the year, and he’s kind of all in. He’s going to make some live events, he’s going to make TVs—not everything. It’s supply and demand as well. He will make select premium live events. He’s going to wrestle a lot.”

Several wrestlers have shown interest in working with Cena during his farewell tour, including Randy Orton, CM Punk, and Bron Breakker.

Triple H recently discussed the future of WWE pay-per-view events on Peacock in 2025. Click here to find out what he had to say.
