Former WWE writer Vince Russo has commented on Bray Wyatt’s career in WWE.

According to Russo, Vince McMahon, the former Chairman of WWE, hindered Wyatt’s creative potential and accused him of stifling Wyatt’s creativity due to an inferiority complex.

Wyatt, known for his unconventional character creations, was unexpectedly released from WWE in 2021 but later returned under the leadership of Triple H.

On a recent edition of his “Wrestling Outlaws” podcast, Russo suggested that McMahon never fully comprehended Wyatt’s creative ideas, drawing parallels between Wyatt and ECW legend Raven, known for his innovative storytelling.

Russo said, “You know, Vince (McMahon) didn’t get a lot of things. I guarantee you like, Vince, watching that Firefly Fun House, did not understand that like whatsoever… It’s almost like the Raven effect. Raven you know, was almost so creative, that it hurt him. Because bro what happens is when you are that creative, and you start talking to a non-creative person and you are laying all these ideas on him, here’s what happens. They get totally lost. And now they feel inferior.”

Wyatt passed away on August 24, 2023, at the age of 36 due to a heart attack. WWE placed the late Superstar on a Legends contract to secure the future of his children.
