Vince Russo believes one Superstar in contention to become the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion would do little with the gold.
Later this month, WWE will crown its first Women’s Intercontinental Champion with Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria set to do battle.
On a recent edition of his “Legion Of RAW” podcast, Russo reflected on Kai possibly being the inaugural champion. He said,
“Didn’t we say a couple of weeks back they are going to put this belt on Dakota Kai? So, is it going to be Velcro? Oh my god, if they think Miss Velcro is going to be over because she’s got the Intercontinental Title, good luck with that, bro!”
Kai earned her spot in the finals with wins over Katana Chance and Shayna Baszler in the first round before beating Zoey Stark in the semifinals.
As for Valkyria, the Irish Superstar bested Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile in the first round and defeated IYO SKY in her semifinal match.
