Vince Russo Says NXT Star Could Upstage Jade Cargill – ‘Was There Two Chynas?’

Jade Cargill is at risk of being upstaged by an up-and-comer competing in WWE NXT, according to former WWE head writer Vince Russo.

Cargill made her WWE debut in September of last year and would make her in-ring debut as part of this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match.

On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, NXT’s Lash Legend was in singles action where she picked up a victory over Piper Niven.

On a recent edition of his “BroDown” podcast, Russo spoke about Legend and questioned putting her on a show with Cargill. He said,

“This Lash Legend, bro, she’s a monster. We got a monster in Jade Cargill. Why are we having two monsters? My perfect analogy is – Was there two Chynas bro? Was there or was there not one Ninth Wonder of the World? Why would you have another monster when Jade Cargill is a monster? Because now as big and impressive as Lash Legend is, that is going to take away from Jade Cargill.”

Neither Cargill nor tag team partner Bianca Belair competed on SmackDown but were in the crowd during the Legend vs. Niven match.

Legend and Jakara Jackson challenged Belair and Cargill for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the October 11th edition of SmackDown but did not win.
