The recently-introduced Wyatt Sicks faction could go down as a huge miss-step by WWE after debuting on RAW, according to ex-WWE writer Vince Russo.
Wyatt Sicks made their arrival during the closing moments of the show and consists of Uncle Howdy, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan.
On a recent edition of the “Legion of RAW” podcast, Russo shared his reservations about the dark new faction. He said,
“Listen, I appreciate what they are trying to do. I appreciate them trying to keep the spirit of Bray Wyatt a lot. I appreciate that. Bro, if this falls flat in a matter of weeks, this could possibly be like the biggest miss in the history of the WWE. I am talking Gobbledy Gooker-level miss.
“Because I don’t know where you go? Bro, so for a couple of weeks they are going to attack people in the back, it is going to be dark and all that stuff, we are going to do that for a couple of weeks, then what? So and so is going to call Birdman out for a match? Where do you possibly go with this, bro?”
Russo is no stranger to dark factions. During his time as WWE’s head writer, he played a pivotal role in the creation of the Ministry during the Attitude Era.
WWE has released merchandise for Wyatt Sicks though it remains unclear when any member of the group will have a match.
