Wade Barrett had an impressive first run in WWE. The British Superstar won the inaugural season of NXT, led The Nexus, and enjoyed multiple title reigns.
In 2020, Barrett returned to WWE NXT as a color commentator and later joined the SmackDown broadcast team.
Recently, Barrett revealed the conditions under which he would consider competing in one last match. His “Bad News Barrett” gimmick was a game-changer for his career, but things had been stagnant for him before that.
With Paul “Triple H” Levesque spearheading WWE since July 2022, several Superstars have returned to the ring. However, Barrett last wrestled in 2016, and fans are curious if he’ll ever return to the squared circle.
In a recent interview with Metro UK, Barrett mentioned that he is physically fit and would be open to an in-ring return if the opportunity made sense. He said,
”I’m fit and healthy, if something came up where, ‘Okay, there’s a match here, would you be interested in doing it?’ If it makes sense to me and I was excited to do it, absolutely, I could.”
Barrett last wrestled on the April 4, 2016, episode of Monday Night RAW, where he teamed up with Sheamus in a losing effort against The New Day’s Big E and Kofi Kingston.
