While Vic Joseph was recapping the NXT Tag Team Championship match from earlier in the night, wherein The Bloodline interfered to cause a no-contest after The Street Profits filled in for The Rascalz against Axiom and Nathan Frazer, Wes Lee interrupted to take credit for the reason The Rascalz weren’t in the title match to begin with.
It had been announced by Ava that due to “somewhat conspicuous circumstances,” the rightful No. 1 contenders wouldn’t be challenging for the titles. In reality, that is because Trey Miguel will be undergoing surgery on Sunday. But in storyline, Lee has now said he was responsible for this.
After doing so, he also put out a challenge to his former MSK teammate, Zachary Wentz, saying he wants to “end this” in a Street Fight on the CW premiere of NXT on October 1st.
As of this publication, the match has not yet been confirmed, but we can assume it will be soon enough.
