Fans could be seeing The Rock & Roman Reigns facing off against Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40 if the talk backstage in WWE is to be believed.
At WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth, Cody Rhodes challenged The Rock to go one-on-one. Rollins argued that it’s never one-on-one with The Bloodline and vowed to back Rhodes up.
On the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said the latest he’s heard is that the match will happen at WrestleMania 40 as the headliner of Night One.
If so, it’ll leave Rhodes, Rollins, and most surprisingly, Reigns pulling double duty at the two-night event this April.
Rhodes and Reigns will face off for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship while Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.
The idea for this match was first pitched by The Rock, who has embraced being a heel and officially joined The Bloodline earlier this month.
