A revival of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is in the works.

WWE submitted the trademark application for “Saturday Night’s Main Event” to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on September 9.

The trademark filing description is related to apparel, as you can see below:

“Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands as clothing; bandanas”

WWE also holds the trademark for “Saturday Night’s Main Event” from a previous filing in September 2018 under the entertainment services category.

The original WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event specials aired on NBC from 1985 to 1991, replacing Saturday Night Live. In 1992, WWE presented the special on FOX before it was discontinued.

WWE brought Saturday Night’s Main Event back to prime time in March 2006 as part of RAW on the USA Network. The show continued until August 2008.
