WWE has applied for new trademarks relating to Friday Night SmackDown.
WWE submitted the trademark applications for “SmackDown,” “S,” and “Smkdwn” to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on September 18 under the goods and services and entertainment categories.
The company also filed for the new “SmackDown,” “S,” and “Smkdwn” logos.
As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, WWE SmackDown will expand to three hours starting January 2025. However, the show will revert back to its two-hour format in June.
