Netflix encountered some issues during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson livestream, and a new report has shared details on WWE’s internal reaction.
Paul emerged victorious over Tyson at Friday’s event, which was viewed by 60 million households globally. The livestream experienced numerous buffering and connectivity problems, leaving wrestling fans curious about how this might affect January when RAW transitions to the platform.
Fightful Select is reporting that WWE sources claimed they had been given assurances that any glitches would be minimal, highlighting the audience numbers and suggesting that facing such livestream traffic would be a favorable issue.
Netflix has previously live-streamed smaller events, such as the Love Is Blind season four reunion in April 2023, plagued by technical glitches.
The report also noted that a live special for OVW’s Wrestlers was initially considered, but it ultimately did not materialize.
