A member of WWE’s production team has praised the company’s forward-thinking ideas as the company continues to move ahead post-Kevin Dunn.
In an interview with Nathan Grissom, Christopher Watts, a key figure behind WWE’s production, spoke highly of the company’s work. He said,
“What I like about WWE is that they’re a very forward-thinking company, especially recently with the new people that are there. They very much have their eyes on the new technology, where can we push things forward. They’ll even ask other employees, ‘Hey, if you see something that you find interesting that we’re not doing, let us know.’”
One production technique used by WWE is Augmented Reality (AR) which allows for structures to appear on-screen without existing. Watts adds,
“That AR technology where wrestlers would come out, they would have these AR graphics in the arena where the camera’s moving but the graphics kind of move with it. I remember that was a big deal of the new production elements.”
Kevin Dunn, WWE’s head of production, stepped down in late 2023 after decades with the company. He has since been replaced by Lee Fitting.
