Tony D’Angelo won the NXT Heritage Cup on last night’s episode of NXT, marking his first-ever singles title win in WWE.
Taking to Twitter, Shawn Michaels congratulated The Don on the milestone, writing,
“Tremendous win for @TonyDangeloWWE and an incredible night for The Family! Congratulations to the new #HeritageCup Champion… another leap forward for a bonafide Superstar. #WWENXT”
D’Angelo replied, “Italian heritage cup champion. THE DON! I appreciate you Shawn!”

Mike Rome has returned to WWE NXT as the ring announcer, replacing Alicia Taylor who has been moved to SmackDown. Rome officially resumed his NXT duties last night. He initially joined WWE in 2016 and transitioned to the main roster in 2018.
