WWE Monday Night RAW is in a transitional phase as it prepares to move from the USA Network to Netflix.

Despite the Netflix deal not taking effect until January 2025, WWE reached an agreement with USA to extend RAW’s run on the network after the original deal was set to expire this month.

On the September 9th episode of Monday Night RAW, WWE announced that the show would return to a two-hour format from October 7 until the end of the year.

This morning, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the duration of RAW following the Netflix move.

WrestleVotes is reporting that the WWE staff backstage were surprised to hear about RAW losing an hour.

Many production and social media employees simultaneously learned about the change as the general public.

The report states, “Regarding the news of RAW switching to 2 hours for the rest of the year, I’ve heard that many production and social staff who work behind the scenes found out in real time, just like the rest of us. As for what this means for 2025 and Netflix, one source said WWE is eagerly anticipating the freedom to vary run times as needed. No firm decision has been made either way.”

As a part of WWE’s massive deal with Netflix, the streaming service will not just air RAW but also gain the rights to stream WWE’s other programs and specials internationally.

According to a filing by TKO Group, the deal, valued at over $5 billion, will last ten years, with the option to be extended for another ten years or terminated after five years.
